kolkata, West bengal Jul 27, 2021 (Issuewire.com) – The International Kolkata Short Film Festival 2021 was a grand success. Just in its first year, IKSFF got a huge response worldwide. More than 3500 short films, documentaries, and PSAs from over 110 countries got submitted. It also received the support and association of many eminent personalities and popular brands. Now in its second year, IKSFF is back with more vigor.
Let us recall, the year 2020 saw the worst time for mankind. Both life and industries got crippled. But around November of the same year, a thought started budding on the minds of 3 people. And thus the year 2020 saw the advent of IKSFF, The International Kolkata Short Film Festival. A unique festival for showcasing and awarding short films, documentaries, and PSAs online.
The three initiators, Festival Director Saswati Guha Chakraborty, Festival Executive director Manas Banerjee, and Festival Chairman Sourav Chakraborty took the initiative to make this dream project a reality in association with Eventizer, which is an online platform that lets artists showcase their art digitally and earn their very deserving respect and income. Prismhub is a Kolkata-based web design and development company that is also well known for its association with many other events and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Festival Director, Saswati Guha Chakraborty says, “In its second year, IKSFF 2022 https://iksff.co.in/ is all set to continue the success and we are aiming to achieve greater heights. The submission procedure has already started with Filmfreeway as our Global Submission Partner. Our early bird submission date is August 31, 2021.
A few information about the festival:
- There are a total of 9 categories with awards for each. The categories are:
1) Best Short Film
2) Best Documentary film
3) Best Public Service Announcement (PSA)
4) Best Director (Short Film)
5) Best Director (Documentary Film)
6) Best Cinematography (Short Film)
7) Best Animation (Short Film)
8) Best Actor (Short Film)
9) Best Indian (Short Film)
- We will screen 100 selected films online.
- All films selected for screening will get laurel from us.
- We will give awards (Laurel, Certificate, Medal, or Memento) to winners of the 9 categories.
- The festival will be showcased both online and offline. The online festival will be showcased on Eventizer eventizer.co.in.
- The festival and award ceremony will be held in January 2022.
